2003

The RNGR team had another successful year. The core team of Dumroese, Hernandez, Karrfalt, Landis, and Overton welcomed Jeremy Pinto, a member of the Navajo Nation, as the Tribal Nursery Coordinator through an agreement with the Southern Research Station. Technology transfer is the backbone of RNGR and RNGR completed its mission during FY 03 by delivering these products: 21 invited presentations at technical meetings; 2 offered presentations at technical meetings; 23 peer-reviewed, technical, or extension articles published; 5 proposals funded; 36 manuscripts reviewed for science journals; 17 research projects started, continued, or completed; 57 nursery visits or technical consultations made and 189 technical consultations concerning seed testing issues completed; 49 other technical assistance questions, programs, or activities attended to; 9 technical meetings or workshops organized or assisted with; 11 international outreach tasks completed; 19 projects to underserved communities started, continued, or completed; and direct interaction with 43 partner organizations.
