Macronutrients - Nitrogen: Part 1


Nitrogen is the mineral nutrient found in the highest concentration in plant tissue, comprising over one-third of the total mineral nutrient content (Table 1). Nitrogen is almost always the most limiting mineral nutrient affecting crop growth and forest and conservation nursery seedlings are no exception.
