A Selection System for Superior Black Walnut Trees and Other Hardwoods


Black walnut and several other valuable hardwood species usually grow in mixed unevenaged stands. Unfortunately, the selection of superior trees in mixed, unevenaged stands does not permit the use of comparison trees as in pure evenaged stands.
